In a region where the conversation around developmental support is just beginning to flourish, Ability Center in Riyadh is setting a pioneering example. With a clear vision to provide holistic and innovative care for children with autism and other developmental challenges, the center has become a trusted name in the Saudi healthcare ecosystem.

Its multidisciplinary approach and adoption of emerging technologies mark a significant leap forward in how therapy and developmental support are delivered across the Kingdom.

A Holistic Model of Care

The Ability Center structures its services around four key therapeutic departments, each working together to nurture the potential of every child:

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Department

Using internationally recognized ABA practices, this department focuses on behavior modification and skill-building. What sets it apart is its incorporation of Virtual Reality (VR) and social robots like NAO and Moxie, allowing therapists to simulate real-world scenarios that help children improve social, emotional, and communication skills in a safe, engaging environment.

Psychological Therapy Department

Addressing a wide range of behavioral and emotional challenges—from ADHD and anxiety to depression—this department provides both diagnostic and therapeutic services. It employs gold-standard tools such as the ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule) and complements traditional therapy with immersive VR experiences to build emotional resilience and cognitive flexibility.

Speech and Language Department

The speech team works with children experiencing language delays, articulation issues, or social communication challenges. Beyond standard speech therapy, the center integrates Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) tools and PROMPT therapy to support children with limited verbal communication.

Occupational Therapy Department

From improving fine motor skills to regulating sensory input, this department helps children gain independence in their daily activities. A dedicated sensory room and tools such as the SOS Approach to Feeding provide children with a dynamic and supportive environment for growth.

Flexible Delivery. Maximum Impact.

Understanding that every child—and every family—is different, the Ability Center offers services through three tailored modes:

  • On-Site Therapy at their state-of-the-art Riyadh facility
  • Home-Based Therapy for more familiar environments
  • Technology-Assisted Therapy using VR and robotics to enhance motivation and learning outcomes

Personalized Treatment for Every Child

At the core of the Ability Center’s philosophy is a belief in individualized care. Each child’s journey begins with a detailed assessment and the development of a custom care plan involving all relevant specialists and family members.

The goal? To empower children with the tools they need to thrive—emotionally, cognitively, and socially—within their communities and schools.
